I was born in Fayette county and raised in Cedar Falls, Iowa. I attended Cedar Falls High School and then Iowa teachers College which is now The University of Northern Iowa. I was married to my wife Donna for over 50 years until her passing in 2010. Together we owned and operated Don’s TV in Waterloo until 2000 at which time we retired and moved to Lansing full time. My activities have been varied to include an active role in the Lions Club and on the Library Board. I served as past president and current member of my church board and board member for Friends of Pool 9. The Mississippi River has always been important to me and my hope is to help make our small section of it a better place for everyone – especially my 4 children and 11 grandchildren.
