Digital Photography Workshop
Saturday, April 16, 2011 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Lansing Public Library
515 Main Street, Lansing, Iowa 52151
Nearly every household has bought and uses a digital camera these days, but if you are like me, you might have been overwhelmed by all the functions available on the camera when you first bought it.
To help you become more comfortable with taking digital pictures, the Friends of Pool 9 will be offering a Digital Photography Workshop on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Lansing Public Library, 515 Main Street, Lansing, Iowa.
This workshop is open to anyone interested in learning the basics of digital photography. Topics to be discussed will include: camera types, lenses, and megapixels; as well as f/stops and shutter speeds and their relationship to depth of field, motion control and tripod use.
On the artistic side, we will talk about color composition, cropping, angles and viewpoint. We will also talk about different lighting and how it will make all the difference in your images.
The workshop will begin at 10:00 am, with the morning session devoted to the topics above. Then we will take a break for lunch, during which time you are encouraged to go out and capture images that we will look at during the afternoon session. The workshop will finish up around 2:00 pm.
You are encouraged to bring your own digital cameras, but if you don't own a camera, we will have some digital cameras available for use that day for anyone just getting started To register for the event call or email Tim Loose at 563-873-3423 ext 11 or tim_loose@fws.gov
